Vikramgad Bamboo Udyog Producers Company Ltd (VBUPCL) and Keshav Srushti have planned the ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ ceremony of their common facility centre at the Balkapra Village in Jawahar block on Thursday, 23rd November at 10:30 am.

This facility is committed to empowering tribal communities by providing bamboo-centric skill training, processing, showcasing, and marketing for bamboo crafts curated by tribal women. It is situated within a dense bamboo plantation consisting of 5,500 bamboos of various species spanning across 15 acres of land.

Salim Sayyed ji and Ajay Dolke ji visit our Balkapra bamboo plantation to share their expertise in bamboo forestry. It was a day long discussion with lot of learning and revelations. Our day ended at Tetwali visit in the presence of Bimal ji with a brief talk. Both have worked closely with Sunil Deshpande ji hence they felt our work is a good reflection of his vision in bamboo sector.

Our team from ‘Vikramgad Bamboo Udyog Producer Co Ltd’ representing ‘Keshav Srushti’ was thrilled to celebrate rakshabandhan with Hon. Defence Minister Shri. Rajnath Singh at his residence in Delhi. He was surprised to know that he was meeting women Directors of tribal enterprise. He appreciated the bamboo rakhis handwork and blessed the team to achieve the best. A very humble personality who ensured everybody is comfortable. This event has worked as a booster for our team of artisans through the unique ‘Surakshabandhan’ with Suraksha Mantri.

We also handed over to him 1500 rakhis specially packed for brave soldiers of India. It will reach the borders of India soon. Keshav Srushti with the help of Aseem Foundation has sent 5000 bamboo rakhis to Siachen in Ladakh and 5000 rakhis with the help of MAD Foundation to Bhuj & Kutch region for rakshabandhan with brave Jawans.

In a new development the first ever brand of the Vikramgad Bamboo Udyog Producer Company Limited was revealed. Bamboo First brand is depicted by its niche logo carved out of a cross section of bamboo shoot with the bamboo economic activity depicted inside it using adorable Warli tribal art. 

22.3.2023 – On the auspicious day of Gudi padwa, a historical moment came in the lives of the tribal community of the Palghar region. A company wholly promoted by the tribal women of the rural Palghar region was formed and The Vikramgad Bamboo Udyog Producer Company Limited was born.
