Who we are?

Welcome to the world of sustainable tourism presented by “Vikramgad Bamboo Udyog Producer Company Limited”. VBUPCL is a Producer Company supported by NABARD for bamboo craft artisans of Vikramgad block in Palghar district. It is an extension of social initiative “Project Green Gold” led by Keshav Srushti since 2019 for skilling & entrepreneurship development of tribal women. Employment, Empowerment & Environment has been the core of the project. Hundreds of tribal lives have been transformed since then & Bamboo Ecotourism has been the essential part of the successful journey.


What we do?

We aim to create sustainable entrepreneurship opportunities for tribal communities through bamboo, with a special focus on empowering women, all while prioritising the protection of the environment. We have built a bridge to connect urban people with rural way of sustainable living that strives to preserve nature, culture, art, values, and tradition of India.

Your visit will be with a traditional welcome amid rangolis featuring the tribal tarpa dance and chiming lezims followed by a cup of refreshing black tea. Discover bamboo handicrafts first hand in a  hands on workshop with the master artisan. Savour your tastebuds with early lunch of organic foods. Get going on a guided walk to visit the local farms, river streams, ponds and historical places. Spark your fine arts with an exclusive Warli art workshop. Immerse yourself in the tribal cultural traditions as you join the rhythm for a round of folk dance of Gauri nritya. Explore the bamboo handicrafts stall to shop for affordable sustainable products for your lifestyle or home decor or celebrations. The Eco Tourism package costs just Rs 600 per person and includes all charges for guided tour, bamboo workshops, meals and refreshments. By participating, you are directly supporting the livelihoods of hardworking tribal artisans while enjoying a memorable cultural experience.
